American Football

American Football fue una banda de indie - emo formada en Urbana, Ilinois y activa desde 1997 (bajo el nombre The One Up Downstairs) hasta el año 2000. La última alineación de la banda estaba conformada por el guitarrista/bajista y vocalista Mike Kinsella (anteriormente de Cap'n Jazz), el baterista Steve Lamos y posteriormente, Steve Holmes. Posee la escencia del emo con un toque de bases jazzeras y cíclicas que le dan una originalidad impresionante, sin mencionar el tipo de voz en un estilo pasivo mostrando algo de ternura en el fraseo. En fin, es una banda que recomiendo bastante.
